Cute Mermaid in Oyster Tracker

It’s been way too long since I created a new tracker, so when I saw this vintage mermaid sleeping in an oyster, I had to make this! I hope you enjoy her as much as I do!

Tracker for the honorary fit “girls”

I know that some of you have your men joining in on the fit girl fun. Being a single person, it didn’t even occur to me to make a non-girly tracker. @fitgirl.tang requested this one for her man to use. Enjoy!

February yoga challenge complete!

Today was the last day of the #letsgetflexyin2015 challenge on instagram. I was able to post every day, even on the days I wasn’t feeling well. I also included the weekend yoga project in the collage. Even though I have a long way to go in some of these poses I can feel myself getting stronger. I’m excited for the next challenge starting tomorrow!

Addicted to Challenges

I have a strong affinity for challenges of all kinds. I think that what attracts me to them is the plan, all laid out, ready to be conquered. Maybe it’s my OCD (which is not a joke but does have it’s benefits in certain situations, plus I can always laugh at myself) that leaves me so compelled to complete whatever is on the calendar for that day. Whatever it is, something is so satisfying about being able to cross off each completed day of any challenge. This motivates me so much (or irritates me so much to leave undone) that I end up finishing the challenge.

Today I completed my first round of the 28dayJumpstart by The Fit Girl’s Guide. 24 days of circuit workouts and cardio and 4 days of rest.

I had an unexpected trip out of town that caused me to miss a day, then became sick and ended up missing 3 days. I was so agitated that I couldn’t cross off those workouts that I ended up making up for each of them, just so I could cross them off the calendar! Does anyone else have this compulsion? What’s reinforced this addiction is RESULTS! I weighed in 9 pounds lighter today than I did just 4 weeks ago! I cannot stress enough how inspiring and positive the Instagram community is and how much this makes a difference to success.

There’s been a few challenges that I really enjoyed in the past and that I also recommend. The difference is, the other challenges didn’t come with a community. I’ll dedicate a post to each of the previous challenges I’ve done so you can check them out for yourself (in case you are also addicted to challenges).

February’s challenge line up looks like this:

Have you tried any of these challenges? Have another challenge you enjoy? Let me know in the comments!
